It is a thrill and an honor to serve as your school principal this year! At Lewis and Clark Elementary, we are excited to partner with you to help your child achieve their full potential and live out the hopes and dreams you have for them.

Our dedicated staff focuses on a well-rounded education. Alongside core subjects like reading, writing, math, science, and Idaho history, our students participate in music, PE, computer literacy, and library studies. We also focus heavily on the whole child through the following framework:

• Visible Learning: We believe that when we make teaching and thinking as clear as possible, every student can succeed.
• The Toolbox Curriculum: We teach students how to find the "tools" within themselves to navigate life’s daily challenges and build strong social skills.
• Our Core Values: Safety, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Tolerance form the foundation of our school so everyone can focus on learning.

We are Proud to be a Community School! Because we are a Community School, we can offer more for your child and family. This includes exciting after-school programs ranging from robotics to soccer. We also know that academic success starts with a strong foundation at home, which is why we are here to help connect your family with healthcare resources or food assistance if needed.

¡Es un gran honor y una alegría servir como su directora escolar este año! En la Escuela Primaria Lewis and Clark, nos entusiasma trabajar en conjunto con ustedes para ayudar a sus hijos a alcanzar su máximo potencial y hacer realidad los sueños y metas que tienen para ellos.

Nuestro personal dedicado se enfoca en brindar una educación integral. Además de las materias principales como lectura, matemáticas, ciencias e historia de Idaho, nuestros estudiantes participan en música, educación física, informática y estudios de biblioteca. También nos enfocamos firmemente en el desarrollo integral de cada niño:

• Aprendizaje Visible (Visible Learning): Creemos que cuando hacemos que la enseñanza y el pensamiento sean lo más claros posible, cada estudiante puede tener éxito.

• El Currículo Toolbox (Herramientas): Enseñamos a los estudiantes a encontrar las "herramientas" dentro de sí mismos para superar los retos diarios de la vida y desarrollar sólidas habilidades sociales.

Nos enorgullece ser una Escuela Comunitaria Gracias a que somos una Escuela Comunitaria, podemos ofrecer más para sus hijos y sus familias. Esto incluye excelentes programas extracurriculares que van desde robótica hasta fútbol. También sabemos que el éxito académico comienza con una base sólida en el hogar, por lo que estamos aquí para ayudar a conectar a su familia con recursos de atención médica o asistencia alimentaria si lo necesitan.
